A radio interview discussed a new report by the Centre for Independent Studies claiming green hydrogen in Australia is uneconomic. The report says more than 25GW of projects worth $95 billion have been cancelled since 2024, and argues green hydrogen costs far more to produce than hydrogen made from natural gas due to expensive renewable power and low utilisation of equipment.
