As part of the Celebrate WA Weekend, Hancock Iron Ore is bringing Innovation & Education Alley to Burswood Park, a hub where families explore STEM, mining, and WA’s heritage through hands-on activities.
Today’s event coming at a perfect time, with visitors also celebrating National Mining & Related Industries Day (held annually on 22 November).
From meeting our mascot Rocky (fresh from his heroic dash in the mascot race — he didn’t win gold, but he definitely mined some laughs), to operating a mini digger, plus high-vis hair braids as far as the eye could see, we are delighted to spark curiosity in the next generation while sharing the story of mining’s vital role in our state and nation.
